摘要
Glass fiber-reinforced plastics (GFRP) are widely used in aerospace and construction industries, which requires excellent anti-icing performance. Superhydrophobic surface based on laser-textured structures is a promising approach to improving anti-icing properties. However, direct laser processing on GFRP can damage their structural integrity and reduce the structural strength. This presentation presents our recent work on the preparation of superhydrophobic surface for improving anti-icing performance on the polyurethane coating that cover on GFRP by femtosecond laser texturing. The mechanisms of the hydrophobicity and anti-icing are discussed in details. Experimental results show that the contact angle of the laser-treated surface increased from 84° to 162°, while the freezing temperature of droplet on the superhydrophobic surface decreased from -4.5°C to -9.2°C, and the freezing time extended from 65 s to 269 s. Additionally, the laser-textured surface exhibits excellent self-cleaning effects, along with good mechanical and chemical stability. We evaluate the feasibility of a facile and effective route to enhances the hydrophobicity and anti-icing performance of GFRP while maintaining its mechanical strength.
